Tank Repair Services: Replacement

Since it is not unusual to find a properly maintained, welded steel tank in operation which is 50 to 60 years old, it is not unusual to replace the container on a tank in need of repair while continuing to use existing pedestals and other supporting structural members.

Container replacement is usually required because the container is not longer serviceable or the capacity demands to be increased. In either case, the savings over new designing, fabrication and construction are considerable.

Each elevation change or replacement project, however, must be thoroughly reviewed based upon particular requirements, including soil bearing capacity, all applicable codes and other structural and design considerations.
