Freeze Protection

PTT employs a combination of tank insulation and heaters to maintain a constant temperature. The type of insulation varies with the application but includes spray applied urethane, mineral wool or the rigid polyisocyanurate panel type.

Exterior metal sheathing can be applied for a pleasing aesthetic finish with the customer’s choice of colors.  PTT has developed a low cost electric immersion heater package for Fire Protection Water Tanks but also can supply industrial gas fired boilers or steam heaters depending on the product and application.  All are installed by our in house factory trained technicians and crews.  Call for a free estimate today.

Secondary Bottom & Leak Detection

A Pittsburg crew is shown retrofitting an existing tank with a double-bottom secondary containment system-including leak detection ports.  This installation as shown is compliant with API 653.

The drawing below indicates the double bottom procedure.
