Prevailing Wage Savings Plan
Your Plan In Review
Pittsburg Tank & Tower has adopted a Retirement Plan for it’s employees that are assigned to a covered project which is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act, Service Contract, and/or State Prevailing Wage laws. These fringe dollars are non-voluntary contributions which are deposited into your account and are tracked under your name and social security number which accumulate tax-deferred and are 100% vested from hour one.
Under Prevailing Wage guidelines, all Davis-Bacon prevailing wage fringes are dollars which have been set aside by the U.S. and/or State government for employers and their employees who work on Federal and State-financed projects. When the contractor is awarded a government project, the Department of Labor provides fringe dollars for benefits verses paying them to you as taxable wages. You, as the employee, receives tax benefits when Pittsburg deposits these fringes into your account, which has been established on your behalf in accordance with the company wage policy and applicable prevailing wage contract.
