Weston, Inc. (WESTON) procured from Pittsburg.

You and your staff supported the tedious and often frustrating process of submittal and health and safety approvals (which are required by our Client the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers) with professionalism and timely responses. There were many instances when Pittsburg was notified of a need or requirement at the eleventh hour, and WESTON always received same day or next day turnaround from Pittsburg. Your field crews arrived on-time, ready to work, and properly trained. They also won points with our Client by maintaining an aggressive schedule to complete the work at hand once onsite. Any issues or problems which arose during the construction of the tank were handled quickly and efficiently by yourself and your foreman. In many instances, the problem was identified and solved before WESTON became aware there was a problem.

I will be completing an internal evaluation of Pittsburg for WESTON’s subcontractor data base. This data base is available company wide and is used to identify and assess subcontractors who have been used by WESTON in the performance of various contracts. The company is the fifth employer in the state to achieve that designation.  The program was created by the 2008 General Assembly.  This requires an employer to provide training for employees and supervisors and to test employees for breath alcohol and 11 narcotics (although Pittsburg screens for 12) as part of random drug tests, pre-employment screening and also must provide an employee assistance program.
